I realized recently that I haven’t written a blog post in quite some time. The truth is, when life gets busy, my focus shifts almost entirely to taking care of my existing clients—and the past few months have been especially busy.

Recently, I had a client who needed to downsize from her home. We got her existing house under contract and then had to find her a new home, all on a fairly tight timeline. Along the way, we navigated two sets of home inspections, a sick daughter, and a sick dog. At the same time, I had another buyer dealing with undisclosed structural issues, as well as a 60-acre estate that was coming on the market as soon as I could get all of my marketing materials together. Add in the other obligations that come with every spring, and it made for a pretty intense couple of months.

Thankfully, everything worked out well.  My seller/buyer client and her daughter are happily settled into their new home, practically next door to her best friend. The buyer facing the undisclosed structural issues terminated her contract—with my sincerest blessing. And the 60-acre farm went under contract after only one week on the market and has now officially closed. So, yes, I’ve been a little busy.

These days, many real estate agents are creating short, entertaining videos for TikTok and Instagram. I know they can be an effective way to gain followers, and the more people who follow you, the greater the opportunity to connect with potential buyers and sellers.  But I’m an old-fashioned gal.  I don’t want to spend my days thinking about my next video idea, filming it, editing it, and figuring out what to post next. Honestly, that sounds exhausting.  Instead, I’ve always relied on my sphere of influence—my friends, neighbors, and past clients. You’ve been incredibly good to me, and you’ve kept me busy doing what I love: helping people navigate the often complicated world of real estate.  That’s why I started adding this tagline to my emails:  “Ask me questions! The better informed you are, the better decisions you will make!”  I want the people I work with—and the people I know—to feel comfortable asking me questions. Any questions.  That’s what I’m here for. I’m not here to become the next TikTok sensation. I’m here to help you navigate the real estate world in all its forms.

Are you thinking about buying a home? Selling one? Wondering about a right-of-way issue? Questioning your home’s value? Trying to make sense of any topic related to real estate? Ask me. You name the real estate question, and I want you to know that you can reach out to me. I’ll help you to the best of my ability—or, if I don’t know the answer, I’ll help you find someone who does. That’s what friends are for.
