About your Sterling Real Estate Partners Realtor
Choosing a Realtor that you can work with and trust is crucial. A Realtor’s job is to assist you with buying or selling one of your most considerable assets. A good Realtor is your advocate in this sale. My goal with every real estate transaction is to give you the tools and assistance needed to make the best decisions for your situation. My knowledge and years of experience will provide you with the edge you need when planning your next real estate move.
Experience. Creativity. A Genuine Understanding of Home.
Susan has called the mountains of Western North Carolina home since 1992. A Real Estate Broker since 2003 and a licensed General Contractor, she brings a rare combination of real estate expertise, construction knowledge, and an artist’s eye to every client relationship.
Susan’s understanding of homes is hands-on and personal. She has built four homes and completely renovated another, participating in every stage of the process—from design to construction. That experience gives her a unique ability to recognize quality craftsmanship, envision possibilities, and help clients see beyond what a home is today to what it could become.
She specializes in residential homes, small farms, and land, with a particular fondness for vintage and historic properties. Her experience as a dog trainer and her active involvement in canine sports also give her a special perspective when helping clients find homes that accommodate their four-legged family members and their unique lifestyles.
Throughout her real estate career, Susan has earned numerous sales and Quality Service Awards and has served as Broker-in-Charge, managing a team of nine agents. Today, she is focused on what she loves most: working directly with buyers and sellers and providing the personalized service they deserve.
As a Broker Associate with Sterling Real Estate Partners, Susan combines years of real estate and marketing experience with the practical knowledge of a builder, the creativity of an artist, and a genuine commitment to her clients.
When you work with Susan, you’re working with someone who understands that a home is more than a structure. It’s where life happens—and finding the right one matters.

A quick bit about my logo
I love to draw and create, and that love extends to my logo, website, and most of my marketing. I like to keep tight artistic control over my image and the image of my listings. This logo is of my beloved senior boy, Tripp. My dogs often work with me in real estate, and many of my clientele find me through the dog show world. It’s only natural that my golden retriever would represent me. After all, I am hunting for and retrieving your home’s buyer and your next home!
Meet the Family!

Dylan
“Lycanin’s Blowin in the Wind Dylan CD BN RM5 RAE3 NJP BCAT THDN”
Dylan joined our family at the age of 6 years. His owner had passed away, leaving him in need of a new home. As soon as his breeder posted about him on Facebook, I showed the photo to my husband and said, “This is Toke’s uncle.” Don said, “Guess we are getting another dog.” Five days later, Dylan was in our home, learning to adjust to a new life. I soon discovered that even though Dylan had spent his life competing, it really wasn’t a game that he was enjoying, so I retired him from dog sports. He is now a registered therapy dog and visits nursing homes and behavioral health facilities with my husband.

Tyler
“Tanglewood’s Rowan Tree BN, CD, PCD, RI, RA”
Tyler was trained through utility but then decided to take a break. After 4-1/2 years on the couch, she surprised me with her desire to work once again and burst onto the obedience and rally scene with ribbons nearly every time we entered the ring!
We lost her to lymphoma not long ago. She was an amazing dog that left a huge hole in our hearts.

Toke
“Lycinan Smokin’ in the Boys Room, BN, CD, RI, RE”
Toke is full of himself and full of mischief. You never know what this boy has in store for us, including an invite to the AKC Rally Nationals, where he worked his heart out and I… well, Toke could use a better handler! This intelligent and opinionated young boy has a big future ahead of him!
He is currently working on his obedience open title while learning advanced utility. His thought process blows me away every day. He is full of drive yet can calm down for a therapy dog visit where he is more than happy to share some golden love.

Then there is us!
After 38 years, we are still best friends. Exploring Liverpool together and seeing all the Beatle’s haunts was a dream come true.
