About your Sterling Real Estate Partners Realtor
Choosing a Realtor that you can work with and trust is crucial. A Realtor’s job is to assist you with buying or selling one of your most considerable assets. A good Realtor is your advocate in this sale. My goal with every real estate transaction is to give you the tools and assistance needed to make the best decisions for your situation. My knowledge and years of experience will provide you with the edge you need when planning your next real estate move.
My husband and I have made our home in the peaceful mountains of Western North Carolina since 1992, when we worked together to run our home remodeling business. Together we have built four houses, renovated two others, and renovated countless homes for clients. I have always taken an active part in designing and building these homes. From hanging rafters to laying hardwood floors, I have gained much respect and understanding of what goes into a well-built home.
This love of homes and home construction led me to become a Real Estate Broker in 2003 and later a General Contractor. I am also active in canine sports, competing with my golden retrievers, organizing obedience trials, and previously serving on the board (past treasurer) of the Sandlapper Golden Retriever Club. In addition, I am a stained glass artist, and I take pride and satisfaction in designing and creating glass art that I often donate to benefit rescues and canine health research.
Since starting my Real Estate Career long ago, I have won many sales awards and, more importantly, several Quality Service Awards. I was Broker in Charge of a small office for several years, managing nine other agents. Feeling the need to return to what I love about real estate, I stepped down as the managing broker in 2017 to concentrate on my clients and their needs as a Broker Associate. I am now working with Sterling Real Estate Partners because of their creativity, marketing technology, customer service, and stellar reputation in Asheville and surrounding markets. I specialize in Residential Homes, Small Farms, and Land Tracks, with a particular passion for Vintage Homes. My years working as a carpenter’s assistant and my beginnings in marketing will be used to your benefit when you are selling or buying a home. I recognize the unique needs that many of us have for ourselves and our homes. Sometimes the space we need is more about our lifestyle than putting a roof over our heads.
A quick bit about my logo
I love to draw and create, and that love extends to my logo, website, and most of my marketing. I like to keep tight artistic control over my image and the image of my listings. This logo is of my beloved senior boy, Tripp. My dogs often work with me in real estate, and many of my clientele find me through the dog show world. It’s only natural that my golden retriever would represent me. After all, I am hunting for and retrieving your home’s buyer and your next home!
Meet the Family!

Dylan
“Lycanin’s Blowin in the Wind Dylan CD BN RM4 RAE3 NJP BCAT”
Dylan joined our family at the age of 6 years. His owner had passed away, leaving him in need of a new home. As soon as his breeder posted about him on Facebook, I showed the photo to my husband and said “this is Toke’s uncle”. Don said, call his breeder. Five days later, Dylan was in our home, learning to adjust to a new life. Lucky for him, we had one thing in common with his previous home: we competed in the same sports. This helped Dylan adapt as he continued going to training classes and learning to speak my version of English. We recently started him in scentwork, where he and my husband are enjoying learning the ropes!

Tyler
“Tanglewood’s Rowan Tree BN, CD, PCD, RI, RN”
Tyler was trained through utility but then decided to take a break. After 4-1/2 years on the couch, she surprised me with her desire to work once again and has burst onto the obedience and rally scene with ribbons nearly every time we enter the ring! What an amazing girl! As one friend best described her, “she is so sweet you will get a toothache!”

Toke
“Lycinan Smokin’ in the Boys Room, BN, CD, RI, RE”
Toke is full of himself and full of mischief. You never know what this boy has in store for us, including an invite to the AKC Rally Nationals, where he worked his heart out and I… well, Toke could use a better handler! This intelligent and opinionated young boy has a big future ahead of him!

Then there is us!
After 37 years, we are still best friends. Exploring Liverpool together and seeing all the Beatle’s haunts was a dream come true.
